I am often asked to explain the differences between the different versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The chart below lists the differences. Note that I have excluded the “Standard” version from the comparison as in my opinion, it is not worthy of consideration for the “power user”.

Some key differences – the Professional version in comparison to the Preferred version has the ability to create a roaming user which is a great feature which allows you to use Dragon on several computers keeping them all in synchronisation with the additional vocabulary and training done on the last computer. It has much greater Microsoft Outlook functionality and it has complex macro-support which allows you to automate a lot of your work.
